Service Manager – Fostering Innovations

Location: Fostering Innovations

Pay/Salary: £55,000 to £60,000 per annum plus medical allowance

Contract: Permanent

We are currently working with Fostering Innovations to find an experienced Service Manager to oversee their fostering service. Working closely with the Fostering Manager and Directors, you will be responsible for managing the social work team, supporting foster carers and ensuring the service provides high standards of care for children and young people. The successful candidate will have strong fostering experience and a good understanding of Ofsted requirements, with a focus on maintaining quality practice and achieving positive outcomes for children.

Duties

• Managing Team Managers, Assistant Team Managers and Supervising Social Workers
• Ensuring foster carers receive regular supervision and the support they need
• Overseeing Form F assessments and ensuring they are completed within agreed timescales
• Leading foster carer recruitment and working towards annual recruitment targets
• Preparing for Ofsted inspections and ensuring the service meets required standards
• Completing Regulation 35 reports, business plans, team action plans and inspection reports
• Ensuring the fostering service complies with legislation, regulations and National Minimum Standards
• Working closely with the Fostering Manager and Directors on fostering panel arrangements and service development
• Monitoring the quality of social work practice and ensuring policies and procedures are followed
• Maintaining strong relationships with local authorities, foster carers and partner agencies
• Ensuring safeguarding remains a priority and that children and young people are protected from harm
• Supporting staff training and development and promoting good practice across the service
• Managing resources and budgets effectively to support the ongoing running of the agency

What you need

• Social Work Qualification
• Experience working within fostering services
• Previous management experience within a fostering or social work setting
• Knowledge of fostering legislation, National Minimum Standards and Ofsted requirements
• Experience with foster carer assessments and supervision
• Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection
• Full driving licence
• Enhanced DBS
