Salford Council are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their Safeguarding service on an agency basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a well-structured and supportive team, focused on protecting children and achieving positive long-term outcomes through effective statutory intervention.
You will be joining a service committed to high-quality practice, manageable caseloads, and strong multi-agency collaboration, with a clear focus on safeguarding children at risk of harm.
As a Safeguarding Social Worker, you will work with children subject to Child Protection plans, Child in Need plans, and care proceedings where required. You will carry a varied caseload involving complex safeguarding concerns and will play a key role in risk assessment, care planning, and delivering interventions that promote stability and positive change.
This role requires confident decision-making, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced statutory environment.
If you are an experienced Safeguarding Social Worker looking for your next agency opportunity in a supportive and well-run local authority, this could be the perfect role for you.
