Social Worker – Safeguarding Team

Pay Rate: £33.30 per hour
Hours: 37 per week
Contract: Locum


About the Role

Worcestershire County Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join its Safeguarding Team.
You will work with children and families where safeguarding concerns have been identified, ensuring timely and effective interventions to protect children and improve outcomes.

This is a supportive and collaborative service with a strong focus on relationship-based practice and multi-agency working.


Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake Section 47 enquiries and Child and Family Assessments.
  • Manage a caseload of CIN and CP cases, including court work where required.
  • Develop and implement robust safety and support plans.
  • Work collaboratively with partner agencies including health, education, and police.
  • Undertake direct work with children and families.
  • Prepare high-quality reports for conferences, reviews, and court.
  • Maintain accurate and timely case recordings.
