Social Worker – Safeguarding Team
Pay Rate: £38 per hour
Hours: 37 per week

About the Role
Leicestershire County Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join its Safeguarding Team.
You will work with children and families where safeguarding concerns have been identified, ensuring timely and effective interventions to protect children and improve outcomes.
This is a fast-paced and rewarding role where you will work collaboratively with children, families, and partner agencies to achieve lasting positive change.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake Section 47 enquiries and Child and Family Assessments.
- Manage a caseload of Child in Need and Child Protection cases.
- Develop and implement effective safety and support plans.
- Work collaboratively with education, health, police, and partner agencies.
- Undertake direct work with children and families.
- Prepare high-quality reports for conferences, reviews, and court proceedings.
- Maintain accurate and timely case recordings.
- Ensure the child's voice remains central to all interventions and planning.
