Social Worker – Child in Need Team
Pay Rate: £37.50 per hour

About the Role
Nottingham City Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join its Child in Need Team.
You will work with children and families requiring support and intervention to improve outcomes, reduce risk, and prevent concerns from escalating.
This role offers the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with families while working collaboratively with partner agencies to deliver effective, child-centred plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete Child and Family Assessments under the Children Act.
- Manage a caseload of Child in Need and Child Protection cases where required.
- Develop and implement effective support and safeguarding plans.
- Undertake direct work with children and families.
- Work collaboratively with education, health, police, and partner agencies.
- Prepare high-quality reports for conferences, reviews, and court proceedings where necessary.
- Maintain accurate and timely case recordings.
