Social Worker – Child Protection Team – Knowsley Metropolitan Borough Council

Location: Knowsley
Pay/Salary: up to £39 per hour
Office Working: 2-3 Days per week
Contract: Locum

We are currently working with Knowsley MBC to find an experienced Social Worker for their Child Protection team in Children’s Services. With a stable management team and a mostly permanent workforce, Knowsley are looking for someone with solid experience to be able to pick up a caseload and support their service. The Child Protection team are on duty once every eight weeks, and they transfer cases at the first hearing, and do not carry court work, which is uncommon in a Child Protection team. 

Duties

• Completing Section 47’s and section 17 enquiries
• Participating in the duty rota
• Long term engagement with families, including direct work, capturing the voice of the child
• Write conference reports and attend conferences, such as Core Group Meetings

What you need

• Social Work Qualification
• Social Work England registration
• Enhanced DBS (provided by us)
