About the Role

Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join its Children and Families Team.
This role focuses on supporting children, young people, and families through high-quality assessment, planning, and intervention, ensuring safety, stability, and improved outcomes.

You will work within a highly regarded service that values reflective practice, professional autonomy, and multi-agency collaboration.


Key Responsibilities

  • Complete assessments under the Children Act, including Section 17 and Section 47 enquiries.
  • Manage a varied caseload including CIN, CP, and Care Proceedings.
  • Work closely with schools, health teams, police, and community services.
  • Develop and review child-centred care and safety plans.
  • Undertake direct work with children to ensure their voice shapes all decisions.
  • Prepare high-quality reports for legal and multi-agency meetings.
  • Maintain accurate, timely records in line with statutory requirements.
