Social Worker – Children & Families Team

Pay Rate: £42 per hour

About the Role

Gloucestershire County Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join its Children & Families Team. This role focuses on supporting children and families through statutory social work interventions, ensuring safety, stability, and positive lifelong outcomes.

You will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload, completing high-quality assessments, and working collaboratively with professionals to ensure children receive the right support at the right time.

Key Responsibilities

Complete Child and Family Assessments and ongoing statutory work.
Manage Child in Need, Child Protection, and Children in Care cases.
Undertake direct work with children, making sure their voice is central to all decisions.
Work effectively with partner agencies including health, education, and early help.
Prepare analytical reports and maintain accurate case records.
Contribute to safeguarding planning and multi-agency meetings.
