Social Worker – Connected Carers Team - Rochdale Council

Location: Rochdale Council
Pay/Salary: up to £39 per hour
Office Working: 2 Days per week
Contract: Locum

We are currently working with Rochdale to find an experienced Social Worker for their Fostering Team within Children’s Services. With a stable management team and a mostly permanent workforce, Rochdale are looking for someone with solid experience to be able to pick up a caseload and support their services. This is an exciting time to be joining the service as we have established three Mockingbird Hubs, a Supported Lodgings Service and the fostering team are also working closely with the No Wrong Door hub. In addition we are training all our foster carers in the Secure Base model and Therapeutic Parenting with PACE training. 

 

Duties

• Undertake statutory assessments, such as Connected Persons assessments, regulations 24 and viability assessments. 
• Presenting assessments at fostering panel, as well as attending court, when required.
• Supporting and supervising kinship foster carers, delivering Skills to Foster and Secure Base Training.
• Work apart of a duty rota. 
   

What you need

• Social Work Qualification
• Social Work England registration
• Enhanced DBS (provided by us)
