Pay Rate: £26.06 per hour

About the Role

Derbyshire County Council is seeking a dedicated Social Worker to join its Fostering Team.
You will work closely with foster carers, providing supervision, support, and guidance to ensure high standards of care for children and young people placed in foster care.

This is a rewarding role focused on building strong relationships with carers and ensuring placements are stable, safe, and meet the needs of children.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support foster carers through regular visits and reviews.
  • Complete Form F assessments and annual reviews.
  • Provide guidance and training to foster carers.
  • Work collaboratively with children’s social workers and other professionals.
  • Support placement stability and respond to any safeguarding concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with fostering regulations and standards.
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare high-quality reports.
