Position: Social Worker
Team: Adult Mental Health (working in partnership with GMMH)
Contract: Locum
Hours: 36 hours per week
Pay Rate: £30 per hour
Location: Salford (office and community-based work with some hybrid flexibility)
Start Date: ASAP
Working Pattern: Full-time, Monday – Friday

Sheldon Phillips are working with Salford Council who are looking for 3 Social Workers to join their Adult Mental Health Service. These roles will support the delivery of services in partnership with Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (GMMH), working with Salford residents to ensure timely and effective interventions.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a joint approach between the local authority and health services, providing holistic support for adults with complex mental health needs.
What You Can Expect:

Partnership working with GMMH for Salford residents
Hybrid model – office, home, and community-based visits
A strong, collaborative team culture with multi-agency working
Focus on recovery-based, person-centred practice
Duties and Responsibilities:
Carry out Care Act assessments and person-centred care planning
Support adults with severe and enduring mental health conditions
Undertake safeguarding enquiries and manage associated risks
Apply the Mental Capacity Act and Mental Health Act where relevant
Work in partnership with GMMH colleagues and other agencies
Prepare professional reports and maintain accurate case records
Requirements:
Social Work England Registration
Social Work qualification
Post-qualified experience within Adult Mental Health services
Strong knowledge of Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and safeguarding procedures
Excellent partnership working skills, particularly within health settings
Ability to work flexibly and manage a complex caseload
