About the Role

Bracknell Forest Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join its Safeguarding Team. This is a frontline role focused on protecting children at risk and supporting families through high-quality assessment, planning, and intervention.

You will manage Child in Need and Child Protection cases, complete statutory work, and work collaboratively with partner agencies to ensure children are safeguarded and supported to achieve positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake Child and Family Assessments and safeguarding enquiries.
  • Manage Child in Need and Child Protection cases in line with statutory requirements.
  • Develop, implement, and review robust safeguarding and protection plans.
  • Carry out direct work with children and families, ensuring the child’s voice is central.
  • Prepare clear, analytical reports for conferences, reviews, and legal processes.
  • Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners including health, education, and police.
  • Maintain accurate and timely case recording.

Practice Model Used by Bracknell

  • A regenerated town centre with shops, restaurants, and leisure facilities.
