Sheldon Phillips are working in partnership with Bolton Council to recruit an experienced Social Worker to join their Safeguarding Team. This is a great opportunity to join a well-structured authority that is committed to ensuring children and families receive the right support at the right time.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Undertake child protection enquiries and assessments in line with statutory duties

• Develop and review care plans to ensure positive outcomes for children and families

• Manage a caseload of complex cases, ensuring effective safeguarding practice

• Prepare clear, concise reports for child protection conferences and court proceedings

• Work in partnership with families, schools, health, and other agencies

• Maintain accurate and timely case recordings

Requirements:

• SWE Registration

• Qualified Social Worker (DipSW, CQSW, BA Hons, MA Social Work)

• Post-qualified experience within Child Protection/Safeguarding

• Strong knowledge of legislation, safeguarding frameworks, and care planning

• Experience of multi-agency working and court work

• Flexible, resilient, and able to work under pressure
