Social Worker – Safeguarding Team - Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council

Location: Tameside One, Ashton-under-Lune
Salary: £39,862 - £45,091
Office Working: 3 Days per week
Contract: Permanent (Fixed Term Contract also available - please enquire)

We are currently working with Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council to find an experienced Social Worker for their Safeguarding team in Children’s Services. With a permanent senior leadership team, Tameside are looking for enthusiastic, relational and motivated practitioners who are able to work in a restorative strengths based way working within their practice model keeping children at the heart of Tameside through support, compassion and a real commitment to achieving better outcomes for our children and young people. 

Duties

• Completing Section 47’s and section 17 enquiries
• Undertake Section 7and 37 reports, as well as attending Court, and providing analysis and evidence-based recommendations
• Long term engagement with families, including direct work, capturing the voice of the child
• Write conference reports and attend conferences, such as Core Group Meetings

What you need

• Social Work Qualification
• Social Work England registration
• Enhanced DBS (provided by us)
