Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced and qualified Senior Social Worker/Senior Practitioner to join our dedicated Learning Disabilities Team. This pivotal role requires a professional with a strong background in working with individuals with learning disabilities, demonstrating leadership and advanced practice skills to drive forward our commitment to excellent care and support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage complex casework involving individuals with learning disabilities.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments, care planning, and reviews in line with the Care Act.
• Provide expert advice and support to social workers and other team members.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including health and education professionals, to ensure a holistic approach to service user needs.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and best practice guidelines.
• Participate in and contribute to team meetings, supervision sessions, and training programs.
• Advocate for the rights and needs of individuals with learning disabilities, promoting their independence and inclusion.

Essential Requirements:

• Social Work England registration.
• Extensive experience working with individuals with learning disabilities.
• Demonstrated expertise in complex case management and advanced social work practice.
• Strong understanding of the Care Act and other relevant legislation.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team environment.
• Commitment to promoting the well-being and empowerment of service users.
