Senior Practitioner – Localities Team – Devon County Council

Location: Devon
Rate: Up to £44 per hour
Contract: Locum, Hybrid, 6-month ongoing contract

About the Role:
Devon County Council is looking for an experienced Senior Practitioner to join their Localities Team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled social worker to work in a hybrid capacity while making a real difference in children’s lives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Hold a manageable caseload within the Localities Team.

• Provide high-quality social work support to children and families.

• Work closely with multi-agency teams to ensure effective safeguarding.

• Supervise and support junior staff as needed.

• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.

Requirements:

• Social Work England registration.

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in children's social work.

• Experience in a Localities Team or similar setting.

• Strong assessment and safeguarding skills.

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
