Senior Social Worker – Children and Families Team – Gloucestershire County Council

Location: Shire Hall, Gloucester
Pay/Salary: up to £45 per hour + £150 allowance
Office Working: 3 Days per week
Contract: Locum

We are currently working with Gloucestershire County Council to find an experienced Social Worker for their Assessment and Safeguarding team in Children’s Services. With a stable management team and a mostly permanent workforce, Gloucestershire are looking for someone with solid experience to be able to pick up a caseload and support their service.

Duties

• Completing Section 47’s and section 17 enquiries
• Undertake Section 7and 37 reports, as well as attending Court, and providing analysis and evidence-based recommendations
• Long term engagement with families, including direct work, capturing the voice of the child
• Write conference reports and attend conferences, such as Core Group Meetings

What you need

• Social Work Qualification
• Social Work England registration
• Enhanced DBS (provided by us)

Further Details

• Initial 6-Month Contract
• Enhanced pay-rate and allowance will be reviewed after the first three months
• Experienced permanent manager providing consistent support
