Social Worker – MASH

Woking (Surrey) | Locum | £42 per hour | Hybrid Working

Surrey County Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) based in Woking. This is a fast-paced front door role focused on screening referrals, assessing risk, and ensuring children and families receive the right support at the earliest opportunity.

You will work within a co-located multi-agency environment, collaborating with partners including police, health, and education to make timely and informed safeguarding decisions.

In this role, you will:

• Screen and triage incoming referrals into the MASH service
• Gather and analyse information from multi-agency partners
• Assess risk and make timely safeguarding decisions
• Provide advice, guidance, and signposting where appropriate
• Work collaboratively with police, health, and education professionals
• Maintain accurate and high-quality case recordings
• Ensure decisions are made in line with statutory guidance and thresholds

What You’ll Need:

• Social Work England Registration
• Social Work Qualification
• At least 3 years’ post-qualified experience in children’s social care
• Strong experience within MASH or Front Door services
• Confidence in decision-making and risk assessment
• Excellent communication and analytical skills
