Advanced Practitioner – Children in Care 14-17 Team - Stoke-On-Trent City Council

Location: Stoke-On-Trent
Pay/Salary: up to £42 per hour
Office Working: 2 Days per week
Contract: Locum

We are currently working with Stoke-On-Trent to find an experienced Social Worker for their 14 - 17 Children in Care Team within Children’s Services. The Corporate Parenting 14–17 Team works with looked after young people aged 14–17, supporting them through adolescence and helping them prepare positively and safely for adulthood and leaving care.

Duties

• Undertake statutory visits, and safeguarding assessments as a Corporate Parent
• Undertake Section 7and 37 reports, as well as attending Court, and providing analysis and evidence-based recommendations
• Long term engagement with families, including direct work, capturing the voice of the child
• Attending conferences, such as CIC reviews
• Work alongside multi-agency partners, as well as Personal Advisors and relevant leaving care services

What you need

• Social Work Qualification
• Social Work England registration
• Enhanced DBS (provided by us)
