Social Worker – Children and Families Team
Pay Rate: £42 per hour
Hours: 37 per week

About the Role
Gloucestershire County Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join its Children and Families Team.
You will work with children and families across a varied caseload, providing high-quality assessments, safeguarding interventions, and long-term planning to improve outcomes.
This is a supportive and well-managed service that places strong emphasis on relationship-based practice and multi-agency collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete assessments under the Children Act, including Section 17 and Section 47 enquiries.
- Manage a mixed caseload of CIN, CP, and some court work.
- Develop and implement child-centred care and safety plans.
- Work collaboratively with partner agencies including schools, health, and police.
- Undertake direct work with children and families.
- Prepare high-quality reports for conferences, reviews, and court.
- Maintain accurate and timely case recordings.
