Team Manager – Safeguarding – Herefordshire

Location: Herefordshire

Pay/Salary: £41.42 per hour

Office Working: 3 Days per week

Contract: Locum

We are currently working with Herefordshire to find an experienced Team Manager for their Safeguarding team in Children’s Services. With an already stable management team and a mostly permanent workforce, Herefordshire are looking for someone with solid experience to be able to pick up and lead a team of social workers and support their service.

Duties

• Lead and manage the Family Safeguarding Team, providing supervision, guidance, and professional development to social workers and practitioners
• Oversee complex child protection and safeguarding cases, ensuring statutory compliance and high-quality practice in line with the Family Safeguarding model
• Chair multi-agency meetings, case discussions, and family network meetings to support effective planning and decision-making
• Monitor performance, audits, and quality assurance processes, driving improvements and
• ensuring best outcomes for children and families
• Ensure the timely completion of Child and Family Assessments, Section 17 and Section 47
• enquiries, and safeguarding plans
• Work collaboratively with partner agencies, including health, education, and the police, to
• deliver a coordinated, whole-family approach to safeguarding
• Support and embed the Family Safeguarding approach by promoting strengths-based,
• relationship-focused practice across the team
• Provide leadership in managing risk, resolving complaints, and addressing practice challenges within the service

What you need

• Social Work Qualification
• Social Work England registration
• Enhanced DBS (provided by us)
